Happy Diwali! The Festival of Lights -celebrated by Hindus and also by people of other faiths- started yesterday. It generally symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance 🙏🏼
During Diwali, Rangoli is created at the entrance of a house -an art form of making temporary, decorative designs on the ground. They are created as an invitation to deities (especially Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth) and prosperity.
Check out the beautiful pics that I received of the Rangoli that were created yesterday in Kathmandu, and read about the upcoming Thangka Art Classes, if you wish to create meaningful art yourself.

The following pictures were made yesterday in Kathmandu, Nepal. The beautiful Rangoli patterns are made with materials like colored powders, flower petals, rice flour, or chalk and are meant to be beautiful, welcome deities (especially Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth), welcome guests, and bring good luck and prosperity to the home.
Do you want to create beautiful symbols to invite good luck and prosperity into the new year and into your home?
