Drawing the Face of the Buddha

buddha-face-workshop-carmen-mensinkDuring workshop at the Shantideva Center you will learn how to draw the Face of the Buddha according to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition

This workshop is the best introduction if you want to learn about drawing and painting Tibetan thangkas. To draw the Buddha Face we will work with the original grid-patterns (that contain the right proportions), which serves as a helpful tool.

Including in the workshop is a short meditation and lecture to learn more about the backgrounds and symbolism of Tibetan thangkas.

During the drawing session there is a lot of individual guidance by Carmen. Drawing experience is not necessary.

This workshop can be joined separately but is also a prerequisite for the special weekend course that starts the same evening:
